I like the visual presentation, which represents the stupid 'growth-based economic system'. There are other types of economies, like sustainable ones or the one of the Castro Bros. But I admit they are rare and hard to find.

I never heard of the Castro Bros... Didn't know they wre two, wasn't that a form of communism?Must Google. I never used to be interested in economy in school, because it seemed too much like gambling to me, like these shares that are depreceated in the market hardly reflect the actual real value of companies and the state of their technology and knowledge at all. But I must admit my curiousity is aroused by this crisis.

Never heard of Fidel and his younger brother Raul? :-)

Um, sorry... yes of course. But the brother thing never really registered.

Actually Googling Castro economy yields confusing results: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Castro_culture
I doubt that's them.

Personally I would prefer a government-involved socialism above communism. And I can see that companies need money from the public, I even would lend them my savings, but I'd rather do it without intervention of stock brokers and money-wolves.
