Christmas gift wrapping

  1. I know the feeling!

I so much enjoy Halloween, when all those bits of candy make everyone deliriously happy. And our Thanksgiving in a week and a half--no gifts at this event put loved ones gathered round the table. Easy and beautiful.

Christmas and its parcels can be onerous.

Thanks for the illustrations tnat make me smile!

  2. Ha, ha ... I had just one parcel for St.Nicholas. It was more expensive than the contents. Yours will cost you an arm and a leg!

  7. We (my parents and later myself) never started with Christmas-presents. My parents (and kids) ate a simpel meal at Christmas and attended church. Christmas-presents were commerical and out of the question.

We had Sinterklaas, but he was aborted some 30 years ago. Shopping for presents and making pun(n/ch)y rhymes took too much time and wasn't fun anymore. So we changed to a Sinterklaasdinner.

My brother in law loves Sinterklaas and that ends everytime with big arguments with his wife and children. He reminds me everytime that that bishop and his useless stuff will not enter my chimney. To be on the safe side; my house has no chimney. :-)
